Sompon and Elizabeth Nabnian, owners of the internationally renowned Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School would like to welcome you to the Jasmine Rice Village Boutique Resort & Spa.

We would like to invite you to our new resort, set in the Thai countryside, to sample a delicious and innovative menu of gourmet Thai food. The taste and flavours will be unlike any you have ever tasted before.

The food will be prepared for you personally by Sompon and his team of experienced chefs. Dine in style, surrounded by rice fields and mountains and come and experience the hospitality of northern Thai people. Your taste buds will be eternally grateful!

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel between 6.00 - 6.30 pm. We will then transport you through the Thai countryside to our peaceful and beautiful village boutique resort. The journey will take about 30 minutes.

Sompon will be on hand to greet you and then your feast will begin. You will be served 6 delectable Thai dishes and after dinner you will launch some Northern Thai lanterns for good luck. At the end of the evening we will take you back to your hotel.

Galloping Horses

Mieng Phama


STARTERS:

Galloping Horses

A mixture of minced prawns, pork and chicken cooked with palm sugar and a herb paste. Served on slices of pineapple and orange.

Mieng Phama

Toasted coconut and peanuts combined with sesame seeds and served on pepper leaves.

SOUP:

Gaeng juut dtaeng khwa

Cucumber stuffed with minced pork and shitake mushrooms served with a chicken broth.


Gaeng Boom Bai


CURRY:

Boombai curry with pork and stuffed chillies

A southern dish with quail's eggs, cherry tomatoes and a tamarind flavoured sauce. It is one of the King's favourite dishes.

Yam Hua Plee


SALAD:

Spicy banana flower salad with minced pork and prawns

This dish is made using unripe banana flower combined with minced pork and prawns. It has a sour, sweet and nutty taste.
