The Jasmine Rice Village offers "Stay and Study" packages, where you stay at our boutique resort hotel and also study Thai cooking at the Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School. Students in the "Stay and Study" program have a unique opportunity to learn even more about Thai ingredients, such as fruits, herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, etc.
After a leisurely and delightful breakfast at the Village boutique resort, we invite you to wander around our vegetable and herb garden, from where the secret ingredients of Thailand's famed cuisines are plucked.
Pick a kaffir lime leaf for your tom yum kung, nip a bud of basil for your pad krapao, uproot a ginger to add to your chicken and cashew nuts and take a fragrant sniff of lemongrass which will add aroma to your coconut soup. Fill your basket with fragrant herbs and fresh vegetables so that when you arrive at your cooking class you will have your very own, hand picked, selection of goodies to add to your dishes.
Our van will then drive you the short distance to Elizabeth and Sompon's house where you will start your day's programme at the Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School.
